Author Guidelines

SunKrist Publishing accepts the articles which are prepared in simple understandable English language only. Authors are requested to read and follow the manuscript formatting guidelines while preparing manuscript for submission under SunKrist Publishing. All the manuscripts should be submitted in the word document. All the coauthors disclosure statement need to send while submission of the manuscript, without disclosure statement of coauthors manuscript submission will be incomplete and may not be considered for review process.

SunKrist Publishing accepts all types of Original Research, Reviews, Mini Reviews, Case Report, Case Series, Rapid Communications, Clinical Videos, Clinical Images, Perspectives, Abstract Videos, Letters and Editorial articles.

Manuscript formatting guidelines

1. Cover Letter: Cover letter of the manuscript should be submitted as separate document, the following details must be mentioned in cover letter and including a declaration that the work has not been submitted or published elsewhere. Authors are responsible for the articles publishing from institutions have necessary approvals.

  • Corresponding author details Name, Surnames, Department, University, State and Country must be mentioned below the Title. Complete address, affiliation, contact number and E-mail address of corresponding author is mandatory.

Any missing of the mentioned details will be resent to the author for further modifications.

Manuscripts Word Limit

Research Article: The clear description and importance of new finding should be mention in the Research Article. The word limit is 5000 or fewer words excluding references and figure and table legends.

Review Article: The latest advancements and current happenings mentioned in the Review Article. Excluding references and figure and table legends the word limit is 5000 or fewer words.

Mini Review: An accurate and deep understanding in that particular subject should be provided in the Mini Review Article. Excluding references and figure and table legends the word limit is 1500-2500 or fewer words.

Case Reports: The word limit for a case report is 1200–1600 words. No limit for the number of pages, figures, and references.

Perspectives/Commentaries: These Articles explains the discussions of suitable data analyses or to emerge from current scientific meetings. Excluding references and figure and table legends the word limit is 1500-2500 or fewer words.

Clinical Images: The clinical findings of a particular case of the patient which shows the pictures of that Clinical images. The image should not just describe the picture, should be informative enough from a clinical teaching view. The clinical pictures should include questions and answers that should educate or remind readers about an important clinical situation or event. Excluding references and figure and table legends the word limit is 500-600 or fewer words.

Short Communication: Clear and brief description of the new findings these provided articles. Excluding references and legends the word limit is 1500-2500 or fewer words.

Editorial: Views on any theme relevant to the Journal's concerns provided by Editorials. Excluding references the word limit is 1200.

Letters: Letters are of two types 1) Letter to the Editor and 2) Opinion Letters. These provide perspectives on problems and current research interests, written by the Editors. Excluding references the word limit is 1200 Words. Should no mention figures and tables in this type of Manuscript.

Title: Title must be precise, short and self-explanatory. Abbreviations need to be avoided. Title of the manuscript should be in title case except the conjunctions, prepositions and articles. The Title Font Size should be in Times New Roman 15, bold and center alignment.

Author Names: Author names should be mentioned as Last name followed by their Initials without space or any punctuation. If the article contain more than one author they should be separated by “,” and the last two authors should be separated with and. Their affiliations are numbered after the initials in superscript. Superscript star represents the Corresponding author. All these content should be in Times New Roman, 11 Bold, and Left alignment.

Eg: Prits SK1, Veronica WS2 and Mark LR2*

Affiliations: Should contain all the authors department, university/hospital/institution, country. Times New Roman, 10 Normal, Left-Right Alignment.

Eg: 1Department of Neurology, University of California, USA
       2Department of Cardiology, University of Toronto, Canada

Corresponding author: Should mention the Corresponding author details Name, Surname, Department, University, State and Country must be mentioned below the Title. Complete address, affiliation, contact number and E-mail address of corresponding author is mandatory. Times New Roman, 10 Normal and Justified.

Eg: Mark LR, Department of Cardiology, University of California, 172 St George St, Toronto, ON M5R 0A3, USA, Tel: 123-456-7890; Fax: 123-456-7890; Email: mark@university.com

Headings: Times New Roman, 11 Bold, and Left-Right Alignment.

Subheadings or Sub-sub headings: Times New Roman, 10 Bold, and Left-Right Alignment

Spacing: Indentation after/before: 0; Spacing after/before: 0; Line Spacing: 1.5.

Abstract: Abstract must be present in each manuscript, for all Research/Review and ground articles the word limit for abstract is 300 words. An abstract should not contain any citations and must be, informative, self-explanatory of the work.

Keywords: For review and research articles Keywords are mandatory. Keywords are picked from the article which are the most commonly used words in that article. More citations and high readership to your manuscript would be enhanced by Keywords. Should not use Full stop at the end. Capitalize the first letter of the first word.

Eg: Throat cancer; Endoscopy; Elderly Patients

Abbreviations: All the abbreviations must be mentioned which are used in the manuscript. Abbreviations must be separated by semicolon. Should not use Full stop at the end. Capitalize each word in abbreviations.

Introduction: Should explains the purpose and need of that study and easily understandable to the readers. Mentioned statements should contain citations which are picked from supporting papers.

Materials and Methods: If the techniques are new and if they are applied from well established procedures, they should be cited and should give detailed procedures. This section can have multiple sub sections as per the number of methods and methodologies used and should not contain the techniques exactly copied with same data mentioned.

Results and Discussion: The results and interpretations of the above experiments are provided in this section. Multiple subheadings or single paragraph description could be there. Should not contain copied content.

Conclusions: Clear explanation of the author thoughts, highlights and limitations of the study should be provided in this section.

Acknowledgements: Author can express his gratitude towards his interest and should provide the grant details, financial and moral support to the authors, funding agencies, partners, collaborations etc.

Patient Consent Form

The patient consent form is required, if the image/figure of the patient is identifiable. In case, the eyes are masked in the image/figure then the form is not mandatory.

Conflicts of Interest

All the authors of the submitted manuscript should disclose the statement for conflict of interest along with the manuscript. Authors should state that there is no conflict of interest, if there is no conflict of interest.

Ethical Approval

Usage of animals, human clinical trials should get the appropriate approvals from the concerned authorities, if any research is involved in occasional/intentional/regular usage. In the cover letter judgment should be stated for the reference number, name of the relevant ethics committee, approval details.

Supplementary Information

If the submitted article has essential background such as any example, large data sets, methods, calculations, etc. will be provided in supplementary information. At an appropriate point in the main body of the manuscript should refer the supplementary data, if the manuscript contains any Supplementary data. The supplementary information may have tables and figures, it will be published as raw data along with the manuscript.

Format for Figures: Research work of the author is effectively communicated in figures, tables, graphs, illustrations, diagrams play significant role. High-resolution TIFF, PNG, JPEG or EPS format should follow for Figures. While submitting manuscript there is no limit for the number of figures and tables. Figures must be labeled A, B, C, etc. Figure legends are mandatory and the word limit for each legend is 100 words. In the text of Manuscript the figure numerical denotations must be mentioned, it’s mandatory. Figures must contain figure legends below each figure.

Format for Tables: Tables must be submitted in Word (.doc), Excel (.xls), and PPT formats only. Each table must be mentioned with table number, table title should be placed above the table and contain a brief title which is not more than one sentence. The table annotations should be placed below the table. To explain abbreviations annotations may be used. All the submitted Tables must be cell bases, editable and short. Should avoid using colour shades in the Table. The special characters such as Asters must be denoted below with the text explaining the denotation. Tables should not contain any hyperlinked text. The word limit for table legends is 100 words. Table legends must be mentioned above the Table. Tables in the manuscript must be provided below figures.

Equations and Formulas: Use normal text or Symbol font for mathematical symbols, Greek letters and other special characters. Formulas cannot be produced using normal text or Symbol font. Math Type is used only for formulae.

Units: SI/IU Units must be represented.

References Format Guidelines

Reference Style: SunKrist Publishing uses Vancouver referencing style for references. It refers to sources cited in the text must be in numerical order according to their order of appearance. If the same piece of work is cited more than once then same citation number should be used. Each reference number should be enclosed by square brackets e.g. [1].

References format: Author(s) last name. Title. Journal Short Name. Year; Volume: Page numbers.
